Blog #19 King's Day in Paris

King's Day 2022; finally we could celebrate again the way we used to in the past, and we were all so happy about that. The festivities were enjoyed to the full, there were free markets, music performances, games and everywhere in the country it was pleasantly busy. But we sometimes forget that the Dutch also like to celebrate King's Day abroad. This was also the case in Paris and at the Dutch Embassy this year, for the first time in two years, a festive reception was organized. With a total of almost 400 guests, including Dutch and various French relations living in France, the birthday of our king was commemorated. And we were there!

We had brought a beautiful selection of tulips, all novelties from Boots Bloembollen Selection that are not yet available on the market for the time being (this could take 10 to 15 years). But what a variety and what beautiful colours; it really made a big impression on the attendees. And to top it off, the guests were given a beautiful bunch of Limerick tulips from Borst Bloembollen to take home.
