Aalsmeer Flower Festival

Last weekend, on June 15 and 16, the 6th edition of the Aalsmeer Flower Festival took place, showing flowers and plants at their best and surprising visitors with stunning flower arrangements combined with art, design and food. The Festival took place at two separate locations in Aalsmeer.

One of these locations feels like home for the FloraPodium because we always love using it as a photo location for our flower arrangements. We are talking about the Historical Garden in Aalsmeer. FloraPodium was present in the Garden during the Aalsmeer Flower Festival last weekend with the Tiny Flower Boat and a “Cabinet of Curiosities”. The Tiny Flower Boat was in the water next to the old auction clock and was open for visitors! Special Allium varieties were presented in the Cabinet of Curiosities. Our readers already know these Alliums of course; from Wietse Mellema who was in the spotlight of the FloraPodium a few weeks ago.

This weekend FloraPodium itself was in the spotlight in Aalsmeer and we hope to have inspired many growers, consumers and florists with our story: the story behind the flowers!
